In efforts to help you read ‘Shape Shifter a Comanche Fable’ I will be posting words used in the story. Today’s word is Hummingbird. Today’s word is also in memory of my beautiful Mother – Happy Birthday Pia!

Shape Shifter a Comanche Fable

Here’s the link to ‘Shape Shifter a Comanche Fable.’  This will be the last draft I post as the book is almost complete.  The story has gone thru its own shape shifting – I’ve changed the beginning and ending quite a bit.  Hope you enjoy the story!

Okay, so I ended up taking a little longer on the re-write of my fable.  The new draft will be ready to post on Friday.  Here is today’s Comanche word…

Here is the Comanche word for today… I thought I’d use some of the words found in my Comanche Fable/Story.  Check back on Friday for a new revised draft of Shape Shifter a Comanche Fable!Image

Below are 2 ROUGH SKETCHES/IDEAS of what my book cover will be. Help me choose a cover by letting me know which one you like best. And YES, I do have a favorite! If you have not read my fable/story yet, I will be uploading a new draft on Friday as I’ve re-written the beginning of the story and made changes throughout.  Thanks for your help!!!

Gil’s concert on Friday night was amazing! Here he is with band members, Charlie (Violin), Kevin (Bass) and Jimmy (Percussion). Thanks to all our friends that came to see him here in Arizona! Until next time Gil…XOXO.

Currently, I’m working on a Native American Children’s Opera.  Where did I start?  I historically researched my tribe in depth.  Then I pulled all the nursery rhymes, myths and legends I could find.  There were many visits to Oklahoma, meetings with tribal members and elders – thank you to everyone who helped with this journey!  Soon came the words only to realize a fairytale, or maybe a better description would be a fable, was in the making.  Below is a link to my very first published piece of literature Shape Shifter a Comanche Fable.  It was a lot of fun to write… now I’m in the final stages of writing the opera.  VERY exciting and what a great adventure!!!
